Bioluxe Hydrating Deep Conditioner for Dry and Damaged Hair (8oz) - $9.99
From the very bottom of my heart, I will profess my love for this conditioner.
This conditioner boasts the use of Sunflower Seed Oil as it’s main hydrator (however, the first ingredient IS water -_-) and is the antithesis of the Organix Macadamia Oil Longest-Name-Ever Hair Mask. Unlike the Organix one I reviewed previously, this conditioner is a legitimate deep conditioner.
My criteria for legitimate deep conditioners?
- Must be thick
- Must be able to stay in your hair
- Must make you hair shiny
- Must not make your hair greasy
- Must leave hair feeling soft, healthier, and comb-able
This product ticks every one of those.
In the past two months, I have killed my hair. I bleached the tips twice, put pink in it, dyed it brown, stripped the colour out of it two weeks later. Add all of that on top of my normal blow dry and occasional hot roller routine, and yeah. My hair is awful.
But after I stripped my hair, I used this product and left it on for 15-20 minutes depending on how badly I need it. I believe it suggests leaving it in your hair anywhere from 5-15 minutes.
To use this, I wait until the end of my shower, shampoo my hair, take a little less than a palm full, work it through my ends and then the rest goes up to my roots. I don’t wash it out just yet. I put a shower cap on it, put a headband around that to secure it, and then wrap it in a towel so it can soak in.
After about 15 minutes, I wash it out and style my hair as normal.
I don’t suggest using this twice a week. In fact, I don’t suggest even using it once a week, because it could get built up, but once every two or three weeks will make you love your hair.
The best part about it is that it doesn’t take a lot to get good results. I can keep the same container for 4-8 months, depending on my usage. It is a wonderful product.
It is a wonderful buy, and I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good deep conditioner.
